People who call or
visit our office these days will notice a new face or a new voice on
the phone. Peter Kilpatrick , who has done some computer work for
us in the past has started as a volunter helping us in the office two
days a week.Peter informally retired mid-last year after nearly 40 years in I.T. – for the last 10 years, mostly involved with developing and maintaining Office applications and systems. Since then he and his wife Rosemary have “down-sized” into a low-set cottage which they have recently completed setting up “for their latter years”.
Peter and Rosemary have two adult children both married, (Jennifer – married to Peter Campbell, and Craig – married last year to Andy Airey), and from their daughter, have two grandsons Matthias and Benjamin.
They have both been Christians since mid-teens and attend Creek Road Presbyterian Church, as well as a mid-week home group and are involved in ministry activities there. Rosemary is sister to Rodney Silcock, a well known OAC voluntary worker of former years.
We are glad to welcome Peter to the OAC team.
New Vehicle
You will be pleased
to know that in the last week we have taken delivery of a low mileage
Nissan X-Trail to assist in our ministry. For several years we
have been concerned that the vehicle we were using was not suitable for
some of the country driving we were doing. This new vehicle
should give us the right balance of economy, safety and practicality
for the range of work we do in the city and country.We are grateful to God for the many people who have given to assist in this purchase. We still need to buy a few extras to fully equip this vehicle for ministry. If you would like to help in this please contact the OAC Queensland office. These gifts can be tax deductible

Wednesday 10th & Thursday 11th
November
Wes flies to Melbourne for 2 days of meetings with the
National Ministry Committee. Pray for wisdom as they consider
possible changes to the structure of OAC to best suit the ministry into
the future.
Friday 12th November
Pray for Wes & Di Fittell as they speak at Nazarene
Sunday School and Youth Ministries Convention today.
Saturday 13th November
Pray for our Beach Mission team as they work on plans for
outreach after Christmas. Pray for the Lord to give us the right
team members for this ministry.
Sunday 14th November
Pray for Wes as he speaks this afternoon at the Logan Village
Sunday School.
Monday 15th November
Today will be a full day of catching up with office work and
putting together some of the last visuals, music and other program
elements of our Christmas presentations. Pray that we will have a
program that presents the message of Jesus clearly.
Tuesday 16th November
Pray for Wes & the team as they finalise details &
equipment for the next 3 weeks of schools programs. Pray that all
the resources will work well to support the smooth running of the
programs. Remember to pray for Peter Kilpatrick as he works for
us in the office on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Wednesday 17th November
Pray for Wes & team today as they present the message of
Christmas this morning at Albany Creek State School and this afternoon
at Victoria Point State School. Both of these will involve large
groups of students.
Thursday 18th November
Pray for our team today as they do 2 presentations at
Macgregor State School this morning and another 2 at Norman Park State
School this afternoon. Pray that students will have a clear
understanding of why God sent Jesus.
Friday 19th November
Today the team head out towards Ipswich for Christmas
presentations at the Bundamba state school. Pray for safety on
the roads each day and for effective ministry in the schools.
Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st November
Pray for physical and spiritual refreshing for our team this
weekend. Pray too for members of our Beach Mission team who are
getting things ready for their outreach after Christmas.
Monday 22nd November
Pray for Wes & Val as they work in the office today.
Tuesday
23rd November
Today our team have 3 presentations at Sunnybank Hills State School and
two at Algester State School. Pray for freshness and clear
delivery of the Christmas message.
Wednesday
24th November
Our team have a busy day today – six Christmas presentations in 3
schools: Bulimba, Marshall Road and Wellers Hill. They need
out prayers.
Thursday
25th November
Today the team will be at Morningside State School for 2 Christmas
presentations.
Friday
26th November
Pray for our team today as they go to Scarborough and Clontarf State
Schools. Tonight, Wes & Di Fittell will speak at the Ipswich
Gospel Chapel Rallies break-up.
Saturday
27th November
As our team take some well-deserved time off this weekend,
remember to pray for the OAC teams in NSW, Victoria, South Australia
and Western Australia as they are in the middle of busy programs,
too.
Sunday
28th November
Pray for students and teachers around Australia who have been
hearing the message of Jesus. Pray that they will remember what
they have heard and consider their relationship with Jesus.
Monday
29th August
As Val works on the end of month finances today, pray
for the Lord to continually provide our financial needs. Give
thanks too for His kindness to us. Pray for our team in
Serviceton South State School today.
Today our team will present the Christmas message in Nashville and Wishart State Schools.
Wednesday 1st December
The team have four more presentations in two schools today – Inala and Grand Avenue State Schools..
Thursday 2nd December
Pray for Wes and the team today at Mansfield and Richlands East State Schools, and for Peter Kilpatrick as he helps in important office tasks.
Friday 3rd December
Pray for our team presenting the Christmas message at Durack and Richlands State Schools today.
Saturday
4th & Sunday 5th December
Important family time for our team as they take time for rest and
refreshment this weekend. Pray for the physical and spiritual
health of all our staff and volunteers.
Monday
6th December
Please pray for our team as they present the Christmas message
to students at Upper Mt Gravatt State School this morning.
Tuesday
7th December
Today we will be busy working on resources and equipment for
our Beach Mission team.
Wednesday
8th December
As we present our last Christmas message today at Robertson
State School, pray that we will maintain our freshness and enthusiasm
and involve the students in celebrating the love God showed to us at
Christmas.
Thursday
9th December
Please remember to pray for our team as they prepare for Beach
Mission, and for the people who will be hearing the Gospel message at
their programs after Christmas. Pray that the team will be well
prepared both physically and spiritually for their ministry.
