WELCOME TO MICKEY MOUSE'S PAGE

My love for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse started when I was only a child, my Father even nick-named me "Mickey Mouse". One of my greatest dreams was to one day be able to go to Disneyland and in 1996 that dream came true, with the kindness of my dear husband; I was finally able to see Mickey, Minnie and all the other Walt Disney characters in person; I even managed to get their autographs and sit in Mickey Mouse's car.

This first page is mainly Mickey Mouse's page. Mickey Mouse, that friendly, fun-loving and energetic personality was created in Walt Disney's small studio in 1928. Quotes from Walt Disney, "I love Mickey Mouse more than any women I've ever known", and "I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse". There had never been a movie star like Mickey, an adventurous, genuine, confident-yet-humble, natural-born hero who could capture the hearts of moviegoers everywhere.

November 18, 1928, saw the premiere of 'Steamboat Willie'. A new star was born capturing hearts and imagination throughout the world, both Mickey and Minnie starred in this animated film, featuring fully sychronized sound, sound effects and rhythmically constructed music.

Mickey went on to star in many films from there on, some of the most popular films were 'The Mad Dog', in 1932, which also starred a mischievous pup, known to us all as Pluto, 'Ye Olden Days', in 1933, which starred both Mickey and Minnie, 'The Band Concert', in 1935, was Mickey's very first coloured film. By 1935, Mickey soon proved himself a most versatile performer. He had portrayed a fire fighter, an explorer, a football player, an aeroplane pilot, a cowboy and a band conductor.

The 1940's, starred Mickey in 'The Little Whirlwind', 'Mickey's Birthday Party', 'Mickey Down Under', 'Pluto's Purchase'; just to name a few, Mickey actually starred in the total of seventeen films during this decade.

The 1950's, starred Mickey in six films, 'Crazy over Daisy', 'Plutopia', 'R'coon Dawg', 'Pluto's Party', 'Pluto's Christmas Tree' and 'The Simple things'.
