Walt Elias Disney, was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. He was named after Reverend Walter Parr. Walt's parents were Elias and Flora Disney. He had three brothers, Roy, Ray, Hubert and one sister, Ruth.

Walt started his first drawings with coal and toilet paper. At the age on Sixteen, Walt left school in 1915, to study at the Kansas City Art Institute. In 1917 he studied at the Chicago Art Institute. At the age of Twentytwo, he began cartoon animation with his brother Ray in Hollywood, California.

July 13, 1925 Walt married Lillian Bounds. They had two children, Diane and Sharon. In 1928 Walt created the famous Mickey Mouse in his very small studio, shortly after Minnie Mouse was created; Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Daisy Duck, all emerged later with strong star appeal of their own. On January of 1966 Walt became a Grandpa to Victoria by his daughter Sharon.

December 15, 1966 at the age of Sixtyfive, Walter Alias Disney died of acute circulatory collapse (caused by lung cancer), on December 16, Walt's immediate family held a small memorial service, which was held at the Little Church of the Flowers of Forrest Lawn Memorial Park in Glenville, California.

During Walt's life he won and received more the 950 honours and citations worldwide. Including Fortyeight Academy Awards and Seven Emmy Awards.
