Who are we? what do we do?  QRP is at this time a small group of competitors and rally enthusiasts with the soul goal of raising the profile of rallying in Queensland. We welcome any one with an interest of furthering our sport in this state. So far our activities have included the printing and distribution of promotional materal, the development of this website and the manning of spectator points at most events in Queensland. We have been selling drinks and snack food to spectators at these points in an effort to raise funds to further our promotional activities.  Why promote rallying?  Rallying in Queensland has been with out major sponsorship now for some time. In a conversation I had with the proprietor of GP Cars in 1998 it was mentioned that there was little or no information available to the general public, Spectator instructions were rarely available to him or his customers before events and results were equally rarely available to him after the event. This is where QRP fits in. I am not setting out to tread on any toes in the operation of this club I am well aware that the standard of events run in this state are very high and my congratulations go to Brisbane Sporting Car Club, Twin Cities Car Club and other clubs who have been responsible for running fantastic events in this state. I firmly believe that rallying is the motor sport for the time. Never before has the general public been so aware of rallying as they are now. Almost every child has played Colin Mcrae Rally, The popularity of cars Proven in the forests of the world is evident on any street in any major town. It is time that the sport in Queensland capitalized on this popularity.  The future Short/Medium term goals.  o Firstly the transfer of this web site to a server that will support a more dynamic web site, this will mean that the site will be constantly updated with news from within our sport.  o The improvement of facilities at spectator points. Including radio contact to Rally HQ and a live updated score board for the spectators.  o Printed material available at various supporting businesses around Brisbane and the rest of the state. This will include a break down of the season and fliers for upcoming events.  Long term goals o The filming of events and compilation of a half hour coverage of each event for broadcast on Bris31  o The printing of Promotional materials for individual teams, Calendars and posters from photographs taken by our members at various events.
