Gallangowan
Gallangowan,
despite it's rough bony surface and
reputation for being a car breaking event, is quite often the most
popular event in the championships. Perhaps
this has more to do with the all night party that invariably follows the end of the year's
competition. To get there take the Caboolture turnoff off of the
Bruce Highway, go straight on through the round about and over the rail bridge. Continue straight ahead along
King St and onto the D'Aguilar Highway, Go straight head through D'Aguilar and onto Kilcoy. Turn Right
(North) onto the Kilcoy Murgon Road. Continue past the Jimna
fire-tower and on to Gallangowan. Please take care on the section
of road north from Jimna to Gallangowan, this road is gravel,
quite tight in places and sees a lot of forestry traffic (Logging
trucks!) Spectator instructions will be available on the
oval as well as food supplied by
the local volunteer fire fighters. Feel free to watch the service crews at work and look over the competitive
cars. There are usually two spectator points within walking
distance of the oval. Please remember that Motorsport is Dangerous so please follow the directions of the marshals at the
spectator points.
