Interment of Ashes

The St. Catherine's Anglican Church, Centenary Suburbs 'Garden of Memories' is intended to care for ash remains of our 'beloved' in a dignified, Christian non-commercial manner. The garden's focal point is below the cross where plaques are placed and a mosaic with the wording "Glory to God" and "In Memoriam" in a layout of St. Catherine's emblem is found. This is not simply a place of memorial. It is a place of prayer where our loved ones are remembered in prayers of thanks on the anniversaries of their birth into eternal life with Christ. Names are listed in the Remembrance Book, which is on continuous display in the Church. Pages of the book are turned each week so that everyone's name is displayed regularly throughout the year. There is the facility to light a candle that can be placed in a niche under the Cross in the garden. Every Sunday candles of remembrance are lit so that something quite special is created.

Those interested in arranging interment for themselves or their loved ones have the following options:

  1. Interment of ashes + plaque + notation in Remembrance Book
  2. Plaque or notation in the Remembrance Book only.
  3. Plaque and notation in the Remembrance Book.

For information as to costs or prepaid arrangements for future interment in the Garden of Memories, please contact the Reverend John Coleman email or the Parish Office phone 30765335 or email.
