BALLROOM DANCING IN BRISBANE

DANCING TWO-GETHER IS MORE FUN

This site is dedicated to those who either wish to learn to dance or who want to improve their skill on the dance floor.

At some time in most people’s lives they will decide to learn to dance. Some will attend social dance classes to learn the basics of the dances before venturing out to Saturday night dances.

Others will bypass any formal learning and go to social dances run at the local hall and pick up steps by following the couple in front. These people will now include the mistakes being made by the couple they are following and probably add a few more through their misunderstanding of how particular movements are achieved.

A number of people who learnt by following others at the local dance eventually realise that they need some lessons or professional coaching to overcome some of the problems that they have. Even Greg Norman and Pat Rafter need continuous coaching.

We have endeavoured to provide the following information as a guide for those who are seeking help on how to start or where to go next. It is not the intention of this page to repeat information that can be found on other sites. Take the time to visit some of the ones recommended at the end of this site. There are a number of good information pages for all levels of dancers. You will also find the complete steps to dozens of dances. However dancing is like driving a car, you can’t learn it just by reading about it
