Dwarf African Cichlids of the Genus Julidochromis are endemic to Lake Tanganyika. These delightful cichlids are easily maintained and bred, and supply endless hours of enjoyment to all levels of tropical fish hobbyists.

I have kept tropical fish for a period of approximately 25 years. Like everyone attracted to the hobby of tropical fish, I started with only one tank, a standard four footer (1.2m). But soon that was not enough, and I now have a dedicated fish room with over 45 tanks. My biggest tank is 3.05 metres in length and holds 1000 litres. My interest, whilst having been varied over the years, is now specialised on dwarf African Cichlids, in particular those of the Genus Julidochromis from Lake Tanganyika, Africa. To that end, this web page concentrates on that specialisation. In addition, some other compatible species that I keep are included.

One of the highlights of my fishkeeping hobby has been to meet, chat and show my fish and fishroom to Ad Konings during his visit to Brisbane in February1999.

I hope that you find these pages interesting and invite you to send constructive comments and feedback to me. Or if you need further information, just ask via the feedback form, but please give me an email address so that I can respond to you. There are a number of pages to come and some that still need more attention, but all in good time.....

Happy fishkeeping,
