[Serious Announcer]

It would be a quiet evening on the Steps, but alas, the Fooles hath been out carousing. A source of lusty singing approacheth through the darkness, stumbling greatly.
They be singing that well known tavern song - A Night on the Town.

[Omnes]

Oh Lord, won't you give us a night on the town
Drink all that we want, but we just won't fall down,
Drink hard all the night long, little help from our friends,
Oh Lord, won't you let us go drinking at Ben's?

Oh Lord, won't you let us go wenching at Ben's?
Let's hope that this part of the night never ends.
Work hard all the night long, need no help from our friends,
Oh Lord, won't you let us go wenching at Ben's?

Oh Lord, won't you let us go singing at Ben's?
Tis fun to be singing with drunk and tone deaf friends.
Carouse all the night long, little help from our friends,
Oh Lord, won't you let us go singing at Ben's?

Oh Lord, if there should be some fighting at Ben's,
We'll stick together, that's what one does with friends.
We'll fight all the night long, or til we're thrown out on our ends,
Oh Lord, we'll be ready if there's fighting at Ben's.

Oh Lord, send a wagon - to take us home,
After drinking and fighting, we care not to roam,
And send us no sore head, on the morrow we come down,
Oh Lord, won't you let us have a night on the town.
