Whilst CopyWrite is an
extremely useful piece of software for simply hand writing
letters or characters and replaying them for
students to copy, it can be made even more useful
with the addition of keyboards. Keyboards save teachers having to
hand draw characters or letters by providing a complete set
of outlines ready for your use. Keyboards, in this
way, act like the fonts that we load into our computers to
provide the specific typefaces that we use in our documents.
However, as well as determining the appearance of each character
or letter, keyboards also contain the stroke information that
permits each letter or character to be animated (replayed)
correctly. Cursive keyboards actually insert joins between
letters intelligently. Cursive keyboards contain even more
information that shows how pairs of letters join. When replaying
cursive letters, t's are crossed and i's are dotted the next time
the pencil is lifted.
