CERTIFICATE COURSE

FIRST AID TRAINED TO SENIOR FIRST AID CERTIFICATE BY A QUALIFIED FIRST
AID INSTRUCTOR, REGISTERED WITH THE QUEENSLAND AMBULANCE SERVICE.
WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY A GENERAL OVER VIEW OF WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY TO
CERTIFICATE 11 LEVEL. TAKEN BY A QUALIFIED TAFE INSTRUCTOR.
LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISION WILL BE TAUGHT THE BASIC LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORS DUTIES,
AND WILL BE TAUGHT TO TAKE CHARGE OF A SQUAD OF MEMBERS OF THE COMPANY ON COMPLETION, SUPERVISORY INSTRUCTlON TO
CERTIFICATE LEVEL 11
PUBLIC SPEAKING AND REPORT WRITING.
PREPARATION OF SPEECHES AND REPORTS TO A STANDARD THAT WILL ENSURE THE STUDENT IS CAPABLE OF PRESENTING THEIR SUBJECT IN VERBAL OR WRITTEN FORM
NAVIGATION INSTRUCTION IN NAVIGATION ON LAND BY A QUALIFIED EX-ARMY
INSTRUCTOR WELL EXPERIENCED IN THE FIELD
SURVIVAL BUSH CAMPS OF TRAINING WHERE THE STUDENT IS TRAINED IN ALL
ASPECTS OF BUSH CRAFT AND SURVIVAL SKILLS
SMALL ARMS INSTRUCTION AND USE TRAINING IN THE CORRECT USE OF SMALL ARMS IN A CONTROLLED
ENVIRONMENT AT A REGISTERED SHOOTING RANGE. SUCH TRAINING TO INCLUDE THE SAFE AND PROPER USE OF THE WEAPON.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS USE OF VARIOUS COMMUNICATION SYSTEMS FOR BUSH CRAFT, TO
INCLUDE, MORSE CODE, SEMAPHORE AND THE USE OF MIRRORS, ETC.
ROPE WORK TO BE TAUGHT THE BASIC KNOTS AND SPLICES THAT WOULD BE USED IN DAY TO DAY LIFE.
HISTORICAL MILITARY DRILLS. USE OF CEREMONIAL DRILLS FOR PRESENTATION AT THE VARIOUS
MILITARY COMMEMORATION SERVICES. TO INCLUDE RIFLE DRILL,
MARCHING. DRUM CORP DRILL, GUN FIRING. AND ANY OTHER DRILLS
THAT MAY HAVE APPLIED TO THE 1900'S MILITARY
DISCIPLINE, TEAMWORK AND SELF-ESTEEM. ALL TRAINING IS DONE IN A DISCIPLINED MANNER WHERE EACH
MEMBER IS TRAINED TO RESPECT RANK AND TO UNDERSTAND THE
CHAIN OF COMMAND. THEY ARE TAUGHT HOW TO WORK TOGETHER AND TRUST EACH OTHER IN ANY SITUATION.
NAVAL BRIGADE AND COLONIAL MILITARY HISTORY.
TRAINING IN THE ORIGINS OF THE AUSTRALIAN MILITARY AND
TRANSITION FROM COLONIAL TO FEDERATION RULE AS IT APPLIED
TO THE ARMED FORCES OF THE COLONIES OF AUSTRALIA AND
BEYOND.
QUALIFICATIONS THERE WILL BE A CERTIFICATES IN HISTORICAL NAVAL BRIGADE
TRADITIONS. THESE CERTIFICATE WILL BE ONLY ISSUED AFTER ALL MODULES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED TO A SATISFACTORY STANDARD, AS SET OUT BY THE TRAINING OFFICER.
THERE WILL BE CREDITS GIVEN FOR EACH MODULE.
THE COURSE IS DESIGNED TO RUN OVER A PERIOD OF TWO YEARS.
TRAINERS WILL ALL BE EXPERIENCED IN THE FIELD THEY ARE TRAINING MEMBERS IN.
THEY WILL BE OVERSEEN BY AN INSTRUCTOR WHO IS QUALIFIED AS A CERTIFICATE 1 V, CATEGORY 2, WORKPLACE TRAlNER AND ASSESSOR AS PER NATIONAL STANDARDS.
