POSTURE

Look at Ben's collar bones.

In this picture his collar bones are relaxed. They are horizontal.

In this picture his collar bones are raised and tense. His shoulders and neck muscles are tense.Check your own collar bones (clavicles) in the mirror. They should sit horizontally.

Look at Marni's sitting posture!

Her bottom is forward on the seat. Her shoulders are rounded and her chin is stuck out forward.
She's going to get a ripper headache!

Here's how she should sit. Her bottom is right to the back of the chair. The backrest is supporting the small of her lower back, her feet are flat on the ground and her chin is tucked in. It is important to get the keyboard at elbow height so your shoulders don't hunch up.

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

Monitor height - should be eye level
Keyboard height - should be elbow level
Forearms and Wrists - should be horizontal
Feet - should be flat on the floor or on a foot-rest
