Artist Bio-Blurb: Mark Ziza

A music-a-holic, Mark's early music exposure was varied. From his parents came Jazz greats and various European music cultures. Later a family friend introduced him to The Beatles. All this has had a strong and lasting impression. Mark most enjoys the freedom of playing solo but can be found jamming at any opportunity.

His musical style has been described as "off the mainstream altogether!" From Delta Blues sounds to the quirks of a Tom Waits swing tune, Mark has found his own voice and has an unusual vocabulary of guitar techniques lurking at the fingertips. While many of his songs reflect his usually humorous side, beware the serious nature of many. As John Lee Hooker said, "The Blues is the Healer".
