INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF THE VOLUNTEER!!! Congratulations to HIKE President, Allan Dimmick, and Past President, Ray Blacker, who have been recognised in celebrations of the International Year of the Volunteer. Mr Dimmick PAGG was awarded a Volunteers Medalion - one of twenty out of over six hundred nominations in the Bribie/Caboolture Region. Thankyou to Bribie Lodge for making the nomination. Mr Blacker PABG has been selected as one of the Volunteering Heros from the last 100 years of Australia - one of approximately 500 selected from Queensland. Mr Blackers effigy will be placed on the lawns of Government House in Canberra along with 3000 others. Congratulations on your well deserved awards!!! |
