:::: " The RETURN of the 50 Foot Francophile"
Greetings Shirleyphiles and welcome to another half hour of low-fi
lovliness! This week la Shirl gets to "parles vous her francaise"
for you all to hear. Well not really...aurally I mean...mm...I
really don't know and am getting dizzy just thinking about it...the
point is is that week's show is a nod to Bastille Day. That's
right, love them or leave them and let them be lonely or not,
we love the French here in Shirley land....mr. Kenneth is the
proof in the pudding as he is eating cake as I speak.
Do you like the photo of yours truly back in her heyday on the
left? Ha! Someone's been sniffing the nail polish remover again....no..it
really is the gorgeous Brigette Bardot...there
is a resemblance...slight though it may be but nevertheless...
BB ...as mr. Kenneth insists on calling her, also happens to be
one of the featured artistes in this week's show.
The gorgeous BB pleads with the public for donations to support
her wildlife fund then bounces in to a VERY groovy tune. Kooky!
Sandie Shaw ends up having a shady lunch, as only Sandie can in
Paris with a member of the Dupont Family for the day while Abba
launch into the old knees up Waterloo, in French. For those of
you who think conquering is all that the French really care about,
I've included that old French humper, Je'Taime. Something for
everyone I think and not just our French speaking friends.
Time to get out the bubbly my little Eiffel Towers of peace love
and happiness and start tossing those frills about and greasing
up the feather boa to join la Shirl in her salute to the French.
until next time...take absolute care and play fair....
*smooches* la Shirl and mr. Kenneth
