11/6/03 - "Sassy But Classy"

Greetings Shirleyphiles and welcome again to another half hour of low fi lovliness! Has the old show girl dished up a treat for you this week. That's right - now that you've all recovered from "Doin the Shirley".... well except for the lovely miss[e]....I'm terribly sorry [e] to hear that you slipped your disco while sashaying yourself silly to Fred Astaire but I will not be paying for your physio darl - la Shirl is currently filling the pockets and checking out the shoe size of her own handsome physiotherapist......

Now where was I?...oh that's right...this week it's all about being "Sassy but Classy"! Inspired by the fabulous Dick Caton ...*lounge* act extraordinaire...(thanx to listener Mirko for the Dick Caton tracks) I've had mr.Kenneth on his knees and up ladders sifting through my vinyl pleasure dome to bring you a selection of naughty but nice knees up tunes to put a smile on your dials and a grin on your laughing tackle. The poor love has been working so hard flipping vinyl and crawling around that he's started to moan about needing physio. But I'm up to his devious ways...the said manservant just wants to check out who Shirl's been meeting twice a week and then coming back to the comfy confines of Chez Shirley all hot, bothered, screaming for Dacquiris and sorbolene....

Sorry I digress again...From Queen of Innuendo Mae West to another old queen, Noel Coward, it's all in the words this week my dears. Well almost...if the bump and grind of The Stripper theme doesn't get you grooving, then the wannabe vampish tones of film star Shelley Winters will. Just lie to her sweeties....that'll keep her happy. Enjoy!

Until next time, take absolute care and play fair...
*smoooches* la Shirl
