- "Doin' the Shirley"
Greetings Shirleyphiles and welcome again to another half hour
of low fi lovliness! This week it's all about "Doin' the
Shirley ". That's right..yours
truly has decided that the most sensible and safe way to warm
up her penultimate goodness is to dance..dance...and dance a little
bit more! So this show is jam packed with some smooth moves and
instructions on how to woo and wow the gang at your next mid morning
tea and scones fest!
In
my trolling about I've picked up a couple of fabulous curiousities
(and also a rather nasty rash..but that's another show) to send
you into an aural lather. One, by mister Twinkle Toes himself,
Fred Astaire called "Attitude Dancing". On this track
circa 1975, Fred tries his hand, feet and voice at disco! I kid
you not. Yours truly madly and deeply has been sashaying herself
silly to this all week and I'm tripping over myself to share it
with you. Another, is by some wayward miss called Cathi Stout.
This track, "Hips and Abdomen" comes from a Christian
exercise (or should that be "exorcise") album called
"Special Believercise". Believe it or not! Oh if Tammy
Faye Baker would only grab this concept AND produce an accompanying
exercise video I'd gladly give my eggs to next gorgeous Mormon
couple who knock on my door!
So,
throw back the scatter rugs, move the cat out of harm's way and
turn up those speakers as we get busy this week, "Doin the
Shirley !" Oh....is someone knocking at my door?
Until next time, take absolute care and play fair...
