Well my low-fi luvverlies....the birthday tributes continue. This week, I'm letting it all hang out for the "add any number of superlatives here" Jane. That's the gorgeous and utterly delightful Jane, pictured left with my extra fluffy manservant mr. Kenneth up to some feathered hijinx some weeks back. In Jane's honour I've put together a show that dips it's little finger into a rather strange but blissful solution of sonic mischief. So this week you'll be Uptown Top Ranking to The Hombres, Captain Beefheart, Dr. John, Steely Dan, Bob Marley, Sly and Robbie doing their thing behind Althea and Donna, Tom Tom Club, The Pretenders and Jefferson Airplane. Peppered throughout are declarations from the Red Queen herself, Dame Flora Robson. So my little white rabbits....get comfy for another half hour of low-fi lovliness...slip into something utterly fabulous...I've chosen my exclusive Robert Crumb print kaftan for the occasion and join me in a toast of top shelf red and flurry of air kisses for THE birthday girl of the moment....Jane!.....till next time....take care and play fair... *smooches* Shirley
