Yes it's that time of the year again...it's my birthday! Yes, my beloved low-fi-ers, the old Shirl gets to blow another candle or carve another notch into the champagne cork of life. Whichever way you look at it...it's all good! AND I get to share my special day with admin assistant extraordinaire, the sooper funky Amanda! Amanda is such a chic 80's gal that I thought it only fitting that I throw a few 80's gems into the mix just for her!......... *happy birthday darl* Apart from '80's darlings, Bananarama, pictured left, * oh..the decade of hair dont's wasn't it *, Tone-Loc, Cameo, and The Cult, we move into more familiar laShirl territory with Judy Garland, Petula Clark, Lulu, Dinah Lee, Bette Midler and Shirl's fave Brisbane band of the mid '70s, Railroad Gin with a rather apt tune...A Matter of Time. I must say though, The Cult track still gets this old girl's tukkas movin and groovin... makes moi feel like a regular little *Love Removal Machine*....hehe.... Time now to raise your glasses, put the cat out of harm's way, lace up your dancin pumps, turn up your speakers, take a deep breath, make a wish and blow something in celebration of the birthday girls, Shirley and Amanda!
