from the tomb of Meketre.

The ancient Egyptians sometimes had boats
placed
in their tombs.
Some fine examples date from this Middle
Kingdom
collection found
in the tomb of Meketre on the west bank across
from Luxor (ancient Thebes).
Two model barques of papyrus type with
fishermen
pulling on a net containing fish.
Pleasure boats transport the owner in the shade of a cabin.
