Akhenaten

Head from one of the large Osiride statues of the heretic king Akhenaten
(Amenhotep IV) that were erected at the Aten Temple at Karnak.
Discovered in 1926 east of the main Karnak enclosure wall.
Sandstone. Height - 64.5 cm.
New Kingdom - 18th Dynasty.



Tuthmosis III Tuthmosis III

In one of the finest examples of Egyptian sculpture,
the "Napoleon of Ancient Egypt", Tuthmosis III, is shown confident and young.
Discovered on 8 May, 1904 at Karnak Temple near the Seventh Pylon.
Green greywacke. Height - 90.5 cm.
New Kingdom - 18th Dynasty.
