Mark T. Rigby

Mark Rigby

Mark Rigby lives in Brisbane, Australia, but loves to travel the world. He visits Egypt whenever possible to indulge his passion for the country and its past.

Mark is involved full-time in astronomy education in his role as the Curator of the Sir Thomas Brisbane Planetarium, Australia's major stand-alone planetarium located in the "Sunshine State" of Queensland. Over many years, he has written for the media on science as well as writing newspaper educational material on Ancient Egypt. In late 2003, Mark completed work on a book about his father's art and life.

In his spare time, Mark maintains additional web sites about his father (Australian artist John Thomas Rigby, some of whose Egyptian works are featured on this web site) and Australia's historic Woomera Rocket Range.
